Personal web pages are World Wide Web pages created by an individual to contain content of a personal nature rather than on behalf of a company, organization or institution. Personal web pages are often used solely for informative or entertainment purposes.
Also often used interchangeably with the term “personal web page” are the terms; “personal website,” “personal home page,” or most commonly just “home page.” These terms don't usually refer to just a single “page” or HTML file, but to a collection of pages and related files under a common URL or Web address. In strictly technical terms, the site's actual homepage often only contains sparse content with some interesting or catchy introductory material and serves mostly as a pointer or table of contents to the content-rich pages inside, such as to résumés, family, to a blog, opinions, online journals and diaries or other writing, work photos, or to any other interests. Many personal pages only include information of interest to friends and family of the author.
Now, these days everyone needs a personal website as a small business, portfolio, moments, and other valuable things. So many free websites, blogs, and WordPress is there on the internet to design a personal web page.
Many people maintain personal web pages because they are the most effective medium to express their opinions or creative endeavors that, otherwise, simply would not have an outlet. These types of sites may contain short fiction such as short stories or samples of artwork.

Web designers use a variety of different tools depending on what part of the production process they are involved in. These tools are updated over time by newer standards and software but the principles behind them remain the same. Web graphic designers use vector and raster graphics packages for creating web formatted imagery or design prototypes. Technologies used for creating websites include standardized mark up which could be hand coded or generated by WYSIWYG editing software. There is also proprietary software based on plug-ins that bypasses the client’s browsers version, these are often WYSIWYG but with the option of using the software’s scripting language. Search engine optimization tools may be used to check search engine ranking and suggest improvements.
Other tools web designers might use include mark up validators and other testing tools for usability and accessibility to ensure their websites meet web accessibility guidelines.
While designing a personal web page one should keep in mind the purpose for which the web page has been created and who all will be the visitors of that page and accordingly the design should be made. The design should fulfill all the needs of the owner and should be under the web designing norms.
